Setting up Anrok with Stax Bill

Anrok is a tax compliance platform built mainly for software, SaaS, and digital-first businesses. Anrok automates sales tax & VAT compliance.

Integrating with Stax Bill lets you use Anrok to automatically calculate your taxes on invoices. Even if your tax team is small, but your reach isn't, Anrok + Stax Bill can help!

Prerequisites

• Make sure you have an Anrok account.
• If you have existing customers and would like to link them in Stax Bill, you will need those IDs and can enter them on the Stax Bill Customer page. See Setting Up Customer Tax Exemptions With Anrok.

Anrok Setup

1. You need an API key and a Default Anrok Product ID to enter in Stax Bill to create the integration.
2. The Default Anrok Product ID serves as a catch-all for product-based taxation rules.

Stax Bill Anrok Integration Setup

Ensure Anrok is enabled for your Stax Bill account. You can contact support to enable this feature.

1. In Stax Bill, navigate to Settings > Financial > Taxes. 

   

2. Click Yes to enable Anrok. 
3. Enter the API key you received from Anrok in the steps above, along with a Product ID. The default Anrok Product ID will set the product taxation behaviour (in many cases, this will be a Service). 

If you're working with a Stax Bill Sandbox account (Visible with the word "Sandbox" at the top of all pages while logged into the Admin UI), Set developer mode to "Yes". 

Optional Setup:

• User may need/want to set up individual custom Anrok product id's for products in their Stax Bill Catalog. 
• Users may want/need to set up individual customer exemptions for Anrok Customer IDs for customers in Stax Bill with exemptions.
