A lot is happening at Stax Bill this Spring! And as we head into Summer, the team is working extra hard to make some great improvements. Here are just some of the enhancements for this June 16 release.
Enhancements
Geotab Smarter Subscription Management
We’ve improved how Stax Bill creates and manages subscriptions for connected devices:
- More accurate device-to-subscription plan matching.
- Better handling of different device types and configurations.
- Increased flexibility when working with product codes.
What this means for you:
Fewer manual adjustments and more reliable billing setup as your device inventory changes.
Geotab Improved Promo Code Handling
Subscriptions will no longer fail if a promo code isn’t recognized.
- Valid promo codes still apply discounts.
- If a promo code doesn’t match, the subscription is still created, and the promo code is ignored.
What this means for you:
Fewer interruptions during provisioning and smoother onboarding workflows.
Geotab Automatic Subscription Updates
When a better Geotab standing order subscription device match becomes available:
- Stax Bill can automatically update the subscription.
- The system replaces older configurations with improved, up-to-date ones.
What this means for you:
Your billing setup stays accurate without needing manual intervention.
More Predictable Discounts (Optional Setting)
We’ve introduced a new option that improves how promotional discounts expire:
- Discounts can now be applied to the subscription, meaning time-sensitive discounts will be applied at the time of the subscription. Adding products later will not change the discount timing.
What this means for you:
Clearer, more predictable billing for subscriptions with promotions.
To set this option, go to Settings > Financials > Billing.
Usability Improvements
Better Visibility for Account Hierarchies
- Parent accounts can now, by default, see invoices and subscriptions from child accounts in the Self Service Portal (SSP).
What this means for you:
Easier navigation and less time spent searching for billing details.
Improved NetSuite Error Handling
- New option to skip failed steps in NetSuite workflows and continue processing.
What this means for you:
Faster resolution of integration issues and fewer blocked workflows.
Avalara Improved Tax Reversal Handling
We’ve refined how full invoice reversals are processed:
- Tax calculations are now handled more accurately when invoices are voided and reissued.
What this means for you:
Better alignment with tax rules and fewer discrepancies during invoice corrections.
Fixes & Stability Improvements
- Resolved issues that could cause subscription creation failures.
- Improved reliability of payment workflows.
- General performance and stability enhancements.
Ongoing Improvements
We continue to invest in:
- Enhancements to integrations (including HubSpot).
- Ongoing improvements to payment processing reliability.
