If you have configured multiple gateway, you need to indicate which one to use. You can select a default gateway and modify it to use another one if you decide to change it.
- In Stax Bill, click Setting >Collections >Routing.
- From the drop-down, choose the main gateway and click Set.
The selected gateway will be used if you have no other rules or the transaction does not match any configured rules.
Configuring Multiple Gateways
If you use multiple gateways in conjunction with multiple currencies or process different credit cards via different processors, Stax Bill's Professional Service Group can configure the rules to control this behaviour. In addition, Sales Tracking codes can be used to determine routing. Typical scenarios for routing collections are by currency and credit card type or Sales Tracking code.
Rules are set up by the Stax Bill Support team.
- To configure multiple gateways and rules, please contact Stax Bill Support.
- Provide a list of routing guidelines based on priority. For example,
Priority | Sales Tracking Code | Card Type | Currency | Gateway |
1 | Store ID: Store 001 | Visa | USD | Authorize.Net |
2 | MC | USD | Stax | |
3 | Store ID: Store 002 | Visa | USD | G2 |
4 | Region: Atlanta | Any | USD | Stripe |
5 | Region: Canada | Any | CDN | RBC |
Note: If there is no match, the default gateway will be used.

Note: Always test the payment gateway configuration before making it available for customers to use.
