Tip
For more information about Braintree, visit their website.
To configure your payment gateway:
-
In Stax Bill, navigate to Settings>Collections>Gateways and click Show Other Supported Gateways.
-
Under Credit Card, click BRAINTREE. The Stax Bill configuration pop-up appears.
-
Login to the Braintree Control Panel and select Account >My User. Under Authorization, click API Keys.
-
If an API Key exists, click View in the Private Key column.
If no API Key exists, click Generate New, then click View to see the details of the key you just created.
-
Copy and paste the Merchant ID, Public Key, and Private Key into the Stax Bill configuration pop-up.
-
If you are working in a Braintree test environment, ensure Developer Mode is selected.
Warning
Stax Bill will still interpret all transactions as legitimate, so you need to refund charges made in this mode to maintain proper ledger balances in Stax Bill.
Note
The sample credit card numbers provided by Stax Bill may work with your gateway in Developer Mode; however, Stax Bill recommends contacting your payment processor to obtain their test numbers.
