The following steps walk you through the process of creating an automatic text message notification at the account level. These default settings will be applied to every new customer that you create.
Tips
- Text messaging must be enabled for your Stax Bill account. To request this functionality, please contact us.
- For more information about text message notifications and when to use them, see Text Message Notifications - Overview.
- To learn about overriding text message notifications on a customer-by-customer basis, see Override Default Text Message Settings at the Customer Level.
To configure an automatic text message notification at the account level:
-
Navigate to Settings > Branding > Outgoing Texts.
-
Scroll down to the type of text notification you wish to configure, then click to open the settings page for that notification type.
-
Under Message enabled, click Yes.
-
If additional settings appear to the right, specify your preferences. For example, for Credit Card Expiry Notification, specify whether or not you want to suppress automated notifications for customers with a gross MRR of $0, and for Pending Expiry Renewal Notice, set the text schedule.
-
In the Text Message Content section, edit the message details to suit your specific needs. Note that the message can contain merge fields, for example, %CustomerCredential.PaymentMethodLink%. Merge files pull in actual data when the text message is generated. For a complete list of merge fields, see Merge Fields.
-
Click Save.
Repeat steps 2 through 6 to configure additional text message notification types.
