Imported payments are not being properly allocated to outstanding invoices

Problem Statement

A customer may have outstanding invoices on monthly subscriptions. A payment is imported to pay the outstanding invoices.

Issue

The payment import in rare circumstances is not being applied to the outstanding balances.

Workaround

Refunding the payment will undo the payment import.
