Initializing the Geotab Integration

To use the Stax Bill Geotab integration, you will need to add the Geotab user account details that Stax Bill will use to connect.

Configuring the Geotab Connection

1. In Geotab, create a new user for Stax Bill to access.
   • The user account should have access to all the sub-accounts within your Geotab account.
   • The user account should use a general email account (ie: staxbill@companyname.com), and not be an existing user's account. 
     • Accounts can be disabled within Geotab, which would break the integration. 
   • Record the username and password to be entered later into Stax Bill.
2. In Geotab, set the permission and settings for ERP to the correct settings. Contact Geotab for appropriate configuration.
   • Note: Incorrect settings will cause the error SecurityException: Invalid API Roles when trying to connect the account.

Requirements

The new account must have the appropriate ERP account settings in Geotab. Contact Geotab to have this added to the account. The user account should have access to all the sub-accounts within your Geotab account.

Installing the Geotab integration in Stax Bill

1. In Stax Bill, from the left menu, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Geotab.
2. Enter the username and password for the Geotab user account you created above.
3. Click Validate.
4. Click Activate.
5. The integration is now active and functional in Stax Bill. Next, you will need to configure the device serial number location.
