The new year brings a huge 1st release on February 6th, 2024. This MEGA release ties together four releases worth completing some important behind-the-scenes work along with some larger feature and product enhancements.

Along with visible enhancements, much work has gone into improving performance behind the scenes.

The team is looking forward to bringing even more updates this year. Here are a few of the enhancements for February 6th, 2024. 

 

Feature Highlight

QuickBooks Online 

A great deal of enhancements have been added to the Stax Bill QuickBooks Online integration. More visibility has been given to when items have been synced with the QuickBooks Server. The ability to ignore warnings or to retry or resend entities that have not synced. 

The QuickBooks ID has been added to provide more traceability to the Stax Bill UI, allowing users to review items within the Stax Bill and QuickBooks interface quickly.

These new improvements do not change the integration but only expose the messages and warnings that are typically sent from QuickBooks. This can help in troubleshooting and identifying issues that result in failed synchronization.

QBO IDs

When you go to the customer with reversals, you can see the associated QBO ID. This allows for more traceability within the Stax Bill system.

This enhancement follows the work of showing customers, invoices, payments, and the rest of the associated Stax Bill entities and their QBO IDs. Clicking on these IDs brings you to the entity in QBO. 

 

Review unsynced QBO customers and retry

When you have previously ignored errors on a customer, you can now set them to retry or un-ignore, and you can correct any errors to attempt to sync.

Enhancements

Self Service Portal 

You can now select and pay for invoices using a new Pay Now button when paying for overdue invoices. 

Migration Price Mapping

When migrating a customer plan, you now have more options to use catalog, source, or override pricing for the migration pricing. This allows more customization as well as maintaining previous customized plans for customers.

Offerings

When customers are registering for a subscription or product, the customer ID is included in the URL so that you can make additional customizations. 

When the customer signs up, you can select to redirect the customer to your specific site along with their Stax Bill ID so that you can, for example, preload data and have them create an account on your system.

Reconciliation Report Enhancements

The Reconciliation report has been updated and enhanced to provide additional features. You can now search the UI by Sales Tracking Code and Export and Schedule the report, including additional parameters in the Summary Journal.

When exporting the report, you can use the summary journal option and configure it using multiple options.

Gateway Routing Enhancements

When multiple gateways are configured, you can now set routing based on sales tracking codes or ranking. If you prefer, you can also view your gateways in a grid.

Email sending 

Email notifications can now be restricted to selected hours, so emails are only sent at certain times.

Navigate to Settings > Branding > Outgoing Emails > Default Email Addresses and Names to configure.

Bugs

  • Bug 56167: Offerings Page Billing Address was not being updated when no payment method was set.
  • Bug 56260: QuickBooks overview page total includes soft deleted entities.
  • Bug 56317: Customer Delete failed for customers with payment methods.
  • Bug 56350: Invoice subscription charge group order was not defined.
  • Bug 56371: The send To Netsuite button is not working correctly where Allocation is being done.
  • Bug 55679: Change the next billing data to the next billing date in Hubspot.
  • Bug 56407: Payment Method Sharing Override does not protect against duplication.
  • Bug 56182: Concurrency locks are inadequate when editing or creating payment methods.
  • Bug 56512: SSPv2 invoices grid pagination doesn't work when using Select All.
  • Bug 56514: QBO product mapping not reflected when latching an existing Stax Bill customer
  • Bug 56656: Unable to Delete Tax Rule; No Action and Missing Error Message on the UI
  • Bug 56805: Sometimes, the GL code UI creation is broken.
  • Bug 56428: You cannot set up QBO unless you select Roll Up Taxes To a Single Liability; otherwise, an error occurs.
  • Bug 56632: I can soft delete a customer when they have active subscriptions/purchases.
  • Bug 56723: The offerings page does not pre-populate query string properties.
  • Bug 54921: Migration from Source Plan with no Coupon does not allow a Coupon to be added to the Destination.
  • Bug 55912: Sub Product Quantity Update - The All Plans option does not provide the Only Return Included Products option.
  • Bug 56935: Hubspot Error in the subscription setup wizard.
