Following the instructions below to configure products to be purchased individually, outside of a subscription:
- Go to Catalog.
- Click on Create product.
- Add Name, Code and Description.
- Select either Product Type: One-time charge or Physical good.
- You can also specify if this product is Tax Exempt by checking Tax Exempt. This can be used for special items like donations. Tax-exempt items, when configured to be purchasable, appear on the self-service portal as individual items and will appear in a separate invoice.
- If you have configured GL Codes in your Stax Bill environment, you can assign a GL code to this product by selecting it from the dropdown on this page.
- Price Product by setting Price Product to ON. A new Pricing section will appear.
- Add Unit Price. Choice of Standard, Tiered or Stairstep.
- Enter prices. If using multiple currencies, you will need to specify a price for each currency.
- Tracking Unique Quantities is set OFF by default. Turn ON if needed.
- Enter the Default Quantity when the product is purchased.
- If you want to make the product Available For Purchase (allow product to be purchased via the Purchases option on Customer Menu) change it to ON.
- Configure Earning. For Physical goods, it will always be. This product earns immediately, while a One-time charge can be configured to Earn Immediately or Earn over the custom period.
- Click Create to save.
