In most cases, users of Stax Bill with the Geotab automations all enabled should have few if any reason to create subscriptions in bulk. Nevertheless, there is a Clone function available in Stax Bill, that can be used, as may be needed. The clone process can be started from a Standing Order or from a Draft Subscription. You might choose to use the Clone feature if you wanted to create a set of new Subscriptions that use a different price that is set in the customer's Standing Order, for example.
Steps
- On the subscription, beside the Draft icon, click Clone.
- On the Clone Subscription page, in the Number of Clones box, enter the number of additional subscriptions to create and click Clone.
- You can manually enter Serial Numbers into the Name field, Descriptions, or VINs into the Reference, as may be appropriate.
- Depending on the number of new subscriptions chosen, you many find it convenient to use the Single Column Paste option. You can export a list of devices from My Admin, then copy a column of Serial Numbers from it, then tap into the first cell in any of the columns, then paste in the values.
- You might choose to only paste in Serial Numbers and VINs, and accept the description that comes from the Draft Subscription.
- When complete, click OK.
- Draft subscriptions will be created for all of the clones. If pricing needs to be overwritten for individual units, this can now be done by editing the pricing on the Product for that subscription.
