To connect a Stax Bill customer to Geotab you must enter a common, unique identifier in both Geotab and Stax Bill so that a synchronization can be established.
- In Stax Bill, navigate to the Customer dashboard.
- On the Customer Overview page, in the Customer section, tap the NOT LINKED button under the Geotab header.
- On the Geotab tab, enter a Geotab ID.
- Note: As a best practice, use the Stax Bill ID as the Geotab ID.
- Note: If your contact records in MyAdmin already have values in their Partner Contact ID fields, you can use these values to sync with in Stax Bill. See below for more details or contact your Implementation or Customer Success Manager.
- Click Save.
Next, log in to the Geotab MyAdmin page to complete the following steps:
- From the left side menu, click Customers.
- Locate the customer in Geotab and open it.
- Scroll down to the Addresses section, to see the available Contact records.
- In MyAdmin, a Customer record can have one or many Contacts. Each of these may have devices assigned to them.
- You should chose the Contact that owns the devices that you would like to synchronize with the mapped Stax Bill customer
- If the Contact you select already has a value in Partner Contact ID, you may use it in the Stax Bill Customer's Link field.
Once you have selected the Contact to link to, tap the vertical ellipsis to edit the Contact record
If there is no value in the Partner Contact ID field you can enter the value you used in the Stax Bill Customer record, above, then Save.
- This connects the Stax Bill customer to a Geotab contact. Once this is done, you can tap the View Devices button in Stax Bill, to see all the devices in the linked MyAdmin Contact.
Note: If you have multiple contacts in one or more of your MyAdmin customer records, and these contacts each have devices assigned to them, and the Partner Contact ID values are different, please contact your Implementation or Customer Success Manager. There are ways to model records like this, depending on the goals of your business.
